In this world where peace seems to be not existing, most people is shifting their way of living, from trusting God to trusting their own selves.
Yes, you may say not all? Probably you will excuse yourself from that, but in reality it do happens, not everyday but it still happens unexpected. What should we do with that? Faithfulness should be a lifelong commitment to God once we started to believe on Him. The problem is that when we face certain trials and persecution, we fail.
I guess this is the reason why God spoke to David saying in Psalms 3:3-7 that, "(3)Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.(4)Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.(5)Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;(6)in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.(7)Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil."
It says, "faithfulness shall never leave us." It is the only thing that make us more passionate to love God. Again, do not let your life situation change your relationship with God. Believe me, trials are normal. And for most cases, it feels much better if there are trials. Why? Because what would be our reason to come to God if we are not struggling? Normally, we come to God since we need help.
If you will truly meditate this verse, it could be your everyday morning prayer to God. As you start your day, who do you trust? Yourself or God? As you read this passage, I hope it will remind you everyday that no matter what life you face, still your faithfulness will never leave you.
We all need to trust in God. Trusting ourselves rather than to God is worst case scenario for us. Again, as written in verse 7, "Do not be wise on your own eyes".
Always Remember:
God wants your dedication to your lifelong faithfulness to HIM. It is clearly written that we should not take it off on our lives. It is something of an order or reminder for us everyday.
