Thoughts About: Serve God Wholeheartedly

It is a trend nowadays that most christians support a church ministry. Even the youth gave their special time to help minister to unbelievers thus sharing the Word of God.

Talking about the Kings of Israel written in the book of Kings and Chronicles, there are so many who walked wickedly and a few who followed the ways of the Lord. Sad to say that on those few kings who followed God, some of them did not walk wholeheartedly with God. Unfortunately, there are some which the bible specifically emphasizes like "Amaziah King of Judah". In 2 Chronicles 25:2, the bible says that "he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord but not wholeheartedly." On the first few verses of chapter 25, Amaziah followed God but in the end he turned away from God. Verse 27 says that "From the time that Amaziah turned away from following the Lord, the people conspired against him in Jerusalem and he fled to Lachish, but they sent men after him to Lachish and killed him there."

Thoughts About: Don’t Complain, Just Pray

"Do all things without grumbling or disputing; that you may prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world." Philippians 2:14-15

Does grumbling produce any good fruit? Isn't it that grumbling is the reason why the next generation of Joshua and Caleb entered the promise land, and not the batch of Moses?

Thoughts About: God Trouble

By: Lenae Bulthuis (New Wine Skin)

Psalm 46:1

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

Reflections on Psalm 46

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. (Verse 1) He is your refuge and strength, an ever-present help whether it’s your first or last day of middle school. He is your refuge whether you get good grades or often fail. He is your help whether you are the most popular guy in school or you wonder if anyone knows your name. God is your source of strength in every situation.

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. (Verse 2) Because you have God, you need not fear, though your parents threaten to divorce, though your best friend turns her back on you, or you get cut from the basketball team. You world won’t collapse when you have to stand in front of the class and give a speech, even thought you are shy and unsure of what you’ll say. You will not fear!

Thoughts About: Perfectly In Love

The past night, as I was reading my dear bible, I was captured by the questions of the verses in the book of Matthew 5:43-47:

“If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even tax collectors (the corrupt) doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans (the idolaters) do that?”

Thoughts About: Proper Relaxation Time

A very busy week passed again for all of us. There are a lot of business problems for owners. More work schedules and deadlines for employees. More clients for professionals. The whole week, we worked for a living; to fill our families daily needs. I assume you are very tired, exhausted all you wanted to do is rest and sleep. With all this in mind, God is still moving to meet our daily physical need for rest. He doesn’t want us to feel burdened that we end up sitting on our couch, or lying on our beds like a bed ridden man. and

The truth is, He wanted us to enjoy life and live abundantly according to the book of Jeremiah, right? And whenever you are faced with a very tiring situation, always remember that God allotted a special time for you to relax and mingle with with Him.

Honest Worship

By Max Lucado

“Take your everyday, ordinary life…and place it before God as an offering.”
Romans 12:1 MSG

Honest worship lifts eyes off self and sets them on God. Scripture’s best-known worship leader wrote: “Give honor to the LORD, you angels; give honor to the LORD for his glory and strength. Give honor to the LORD for the glory of his name. Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness” (Ps. 29:1-2 NLT).

Worship gives God honor, offers him standing ovations.

We can make a big deal about God on Sundays with our songs and on Mondays with our strengths. Every day in every deed. Each time we do our best to thank God for giving his, we worship. “Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering” (Romans 12:1 MSG). Worship places God on center stage and us in proper posture.

Thoughts About: Be Ready For Battle

We are on a spiritual battle; a battle which is not seen visibly by our naked eyes. No matter how courageous you are in battle, if you don't follow the orders God gave you, no doubt, you all be on the loosing end.

The bible tells us in Ephesians 6:11, "Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devils schemes." In any kind of battle, their is a protocol that needs to be followed. In the medieval times, a warrior should have its own armor before going to battle. A warrior is required to have a helmet, breastplate, shield and ofcourse a sword. When we talk about spiritual battle, the bible put emphasis in verses 13- 17, "Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."

Thoughts About: Keep On Being Glad

"I am going to keep on being glad, for I know that as you pray for me, and as the Holy Spirit helps me, this is all going to turn out for my good." Philippians 1:19

There is no one who is totally happy about what's happening in our world today. All people are complaining. Some of them even questioned their faith and denies the fact that God truly exists. Economists says that, "the poor gets poorer." Who in the world will like that statement knowing that most people living in our world today is earning below the minimum wage.

Perhaps, you are in a very complicated situation right now. Problems never stops coming your way. Disappointment starts to build anger, rage, hatred, jealousy and envy. Everything seems to be falling apart and even the family you thought was intact is now being broken and separated. How will you face this reality?

Thoughts About: Being A Wise Builder

About 5 months ago, I started a bible study with a group of college students, major in Accountancy. At first, I tried building my rapport and friendship so that they would not be intimidated with me. Ofcourse I don’t want them to view me as someone extraordinary. :-) So as weeks passes by, God is putting in my heart the desire to truly make disciples for this group of students. Since the mid of June, I started sharing biblical truths about God. First of all, I discussed the reality of heaven and hell then I ended up sharing Salvation. On the start of July, I opened a series of teaching regarding “REAL FAITH vs Phony Faith“.

Just like any other bible study leader, I ask God “what’s next?” All of a sudden God gave me this scripture Matthew 7:24-27,

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.“

Thoughts About: Let Thy Will Be Done

At good times, it is very easy to say, "Lord, let thy will be done in my life." Many people even say, "Lord, I offer my life to you." This is what God wants to hear from us. He loves when people repent. He rejoices when He hears His sons say, Lord, use me, send me! What if things went wrong?

What if from riches, you get poor?

What if sickness comes your way?

What if the family you thought loved you, will betray you in the end?

Thoughts About: Battle In The Mind

Sin does not start on the act of doing it. Everything we do all starts in the mind. As science says, our mind is the control center of our lives. Our actions are directed by what we think. If we wanted to finished the task God gave us, I guess we need to make sure that we take full control of our minds properly. It is said that Satan is the greatest lier of all. He puts every deception in our minds that is why we sin. If us christians would desire to live a righteous life, pleasing and acceptable to God, we need to put our minds to Jesus, not on Satan's lies!

Thoughts About: God's Power Unleashed

In the whole bible, God has shown so many miracles. Things that is extraordinary. Miracles that cannot be explained by our naked eye. Let me give a clear example on how God demonstrates HIS power just to redeem back His chosen people.

Since the time I've been reading the old testament, I encountered God calling Israelites as "Stiffnecked People." They already experienced and see great miracles from God but they still turned back and worship foreign gods. God grieved for so many times however His love for His people never dies. No matter how Israelites walk away with God, still God walks towards them.

Thoughts About: Everyday Is A New Beginning

Everyday is a new beginning. Past is Past!

We need to treat each day according to what God is dealing to us. We may have past failures, past problems and past achievements, but all of them our past already. As soon as we wake up everyday, all we need to do is face it a new way having you new wisdom and new anointing.

Let me discuss 2 main points:

1.) Don’t Dwell On Past Failures.

2.) Don’t Dwell On Past Achievements.

Thoughts About: Bigger Than Giants

Hardships is a very normal thing for a true christian. If you say you are a christian yet you don't feel struggles, ask yourself why? The truth is God wants all His son to be equipped and to increased its faith in Him. Trials are not meant to hurt us but rather it lifts us up on a much higher level of calling and anointing.

Problems are truly hard to face, especially if we rely on our own strength. As people say, problems are GIANTS of our lives. It makes us feel distressed to the point that we tend to give up at times. Always remember this, GOD is bigger than our problems. This may sound a cliche but that's reality. Read More.....

Thoughts About: Fishers of Men

God truly speaks in a very special way. We all know about our calling. We knew that we ought to share the gospel and make disciples of all nations, right? What if we share the gospel and we don't direct see changes to those people whom we share? Will you ask about your spiritual status? Will you think you are not being effective witness?

We will probably end up asking a lot of questions in our minds, even question our faith. But here is what I can say. Do be discouraged. Pursue sharing the Word of God whether you see changes or not...

Music Devotionals - Rita Springer

Just very recent I came across a christian which talks about a singer named Rita Springer. She is a worship leader, song writer and a woman of God. So basically I would encourage you to listen on her songs. But wait, don't expect too much of a "show of band". Again, she is a worship leader, not a band vocalist. :-)

I prepared a playlist catering 5 of her best songs. Click here to listen...

Know Your Ministry

Just recently I posted a devotional article which talks about your everyday ministry. It discusses the difference between a general ministry and a personal ministry.

So basically it will be for your benefit to realize that though God gave us skills and talents to serve Him, we still have a far greater purpose that using those talents. Our life is all about knowing God and sharing His gospel with the people surrounding us. In fact, in Matthew it says that we should make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit..
